“Bolero” is a one-movement orchestral piece composed by the French composer Maurice Ravel. Originally written as a ballet commissioned by Russian actress and dancer Ida Rubinstein, the piece premiered in 1928 and remains Ravel’s most famous musical composition.

The show premiered at the Sibiu Ballet Theatre on October 25, 2017. The original choreography of the performance belongs to Marius Petipa, while the choreographic adaptation for the Sibiu production was created by Aleisha Gardner, set to the music of Ludwig Minkus, with costumes designed by Anamaria Șut.
